Oberjoch is one of more than 650 ski resorts in Germany. It is located in the Bavaria region on the Oberjoch Pass in the Allgäu Alps range in the larger namesake Bavarian Alps of the Eastern Alps at an altitude between 1,130 and 1,559 m with a difference of 429 m. It is the nearest ski resort to the town of Bad Hindelang. The main feature of Oberjoch ski resort is that it is maybe the most family-friendly of all German ski resorts with many areas dedicated to children. It is also one of the top 5 biggest ski areas in Germany with more than 30 km of slopes and more than 5 ski lifts in total. The resort is best suitable for intermediate skiers — most of its slopes are red. For easy and advanced skiing, the resort has less than 10 km of blue and black slopes in total. The most common type of ski lift is a chairlift. The Oberjoch season is from mid-December to early April in general.
