Himos is one of more than 75 ski resorts in Finland. It is located in the Central Finland region of the larger Western Finland in the Karelides Mountains at an altitude between 84 and 235 m with a difference of 151 m. It is the nearest ski resort to the city of Jyväskylä. The main feature of Himos ski resort is that it is the biggest ski area in this part of the country with more than 10 km of slopes and more than 15 ski lifts in total. It is best suitable for intermediate and advanced skiing — most of its slopes are red and black. The most common type of ski lift is a T-bar. The Himos season is from late November to mid-April in general.
