At an elevation of 868 m (2,848 ft.), and with a prominence of 248 m (814 ft.), Mount Gibraltar forms part of Australia’s Great Dividing Range. It is situated in Wingecarribee Shire, New South Wales.
Mount Gibraltar is more a ridge than a conical peak, and at the top is the Mount Gibraltar Reserve. The NSW Heritage Council placed Mount Gibraltar Reserve on the State Heritage Register in December 2013 for its endangered forests and the restoration of the historical quarries.
There are numerous walking trails, picnic spots, and viewpoints on the mountain.
There's a trail called Oxley Drive leading to the summit.
