과거 국토지리정보원의 국토정보 전산화 작업 과정에서 남쪽 방향 봉우리 들의 명칭을 하나씩 북쪽 으로 당겨서 입력 하는 오류를 발생 시켜 망경봉을 남대봉 으로, 남대봉 은 시명봉 으로, 시명봉은 무명 으로 만드는 오류가 발생 되었고 그것이 현재 까지도 혼재 되어 불리고 있음.
