Balmanolesca – Balma 1 (Falesia)

storica falesia ossolana ora ripristinata con nuova chiodatura, tiri allungati e nuove linee. Grado medio 6c - 7a, tre tiri di 5°, un paio di 6a, poi tutti superiori con anche tiri di 8a, 8b. Lunghezze stupende, ben chiodate, di stampo alpinistico: fessure e diedri si alternano a placche di aderenza. Da verticale a strapiombante. Corda da 70. Ci sono anche linee di 2 tiri.
Approach
Da Domodossola seguire la superstrada, SS 33, in direzione del Sempione. Superare l'abitato di Varzo rimanendo sempre sulla statale. Quando la carreggiata si restringe, a destra, la falesia è visibile. In corrispondenza di un grosso fabbricato semi crollato svoltare a sinistra sulla strada sterrato di accesso alla falesia, circa 50 mt. e siete arrivati.
