At an elevation of 5,765 m (18,914 ft.), and with a prominence of 365 m (1,198 ft.), Pisco Mountain is situated in the Cordillera Blanca, almost 60 kilometers from Huaraz, Peru.
It has an ice wall at certain seasons of the year and was always known for the laidback ascent it offered, but the ascending track has mostly liquefied as the glacier steadily melts away, so the climb is no longer easy.
There's an alpine trail (T4) called Vía Normal (PD) leading to the summit.
