With an elevation of 354 m (1,161 ft.) and prominence of 34 m (112 ft.), Gildersleeve Mountain is a mountain situated in a very densely populated area of the USA. It is near Cleveland, located in Kirkland, Ohio, USA
Before European settlers arrived, a hardwood forest was prominent in the vicinity and on the slopes of Gildersleeve Mountain. Three types of forest were once growing abundantly here, known as Beech-maple forest, oak-hickory forest, and hemlock-hardwood forest. Today, parts of the forest had to make way for human urbanization with more than 50 privately owned homes now situated on the slopes of Gildersleeve Mountain. Rare dragonflies such as the comet darner, occelated darner, and gray petaltail, as well as odonate (damselflies), have been discovered on Gildersleeve Mountain.
There's a trail called Lucky Stone Loop Trail leading to the summit.
