At an elevation of 2,076 m (6,811 ft.), and with a prominence of 17 m (56 ft.), Daube forms part of the Swiss Prealps. It is situated in the Verwaltungskreis Interlaken-Oberhasli region, in the canton of Bern, Switzerland.
Daube is a 30-minute walk from the Schynige Platte Railway Station and provides an outstanding view over Lake Brienz. The peak also overlooks a large part of the Schynige Platte, which is a small mountain ridge.
Daube forms part of the Swiss Hike, which begins at Schynige Platte station and ends at Grindelwald First. This is a truly beautiful hike, one of the best in the Jungfrau area.
There's a hiking trail (T2) called Panoramaweg leading to the summit. Daube is one of the 1 peaks along the Daube - Schynige Platte.
