Yemen is a country on the southern tip of the Arabian Peninsula in the Middle East in Western Asia. The main feature of Yemen mountains is Sarawat Mountains, the largest in a series of relatively small ranges concentrated in the western part of the country. It includes Jabal An-Nabi Shu'ayb (3,666 m / 12,027 ft), the highest and the most prominent peak of the range, the country, and the whole Arabian Peninsula. It is also in the top 3 by prominence in the Middle East. Yemen is also unimaginable without the famous clay buildings in the city of Shibam, resembling mountain peaks, although they are more often called the "Manhattan of the Desert".
