Monte Bissau is a mountain located in the central part of the island of São Nicolau in Cape Verde. It is situated 3 km southwest of Belém and 6 km east of the island capital Ribeira Brava.
The mountain is entirely of volcanic origin. The panorama offers a view to the central part of the island along with a part of the west and much of the east. The Atlantic Ocean is a few kilometres nearby to the north and south.
The mountain can be seen from Monte Gordo and its surrounding area to the east, Vale de Ribeira Brava, Preguiça and the east part of the south of the island and many areas of the east of the island, on clear days, it can be seen as far as the island of Sal.
