Madonna di Campiglio (Skirama Dolomiti) is one of more than 180 ski resorts in Italy. It is located in the province of Trentino in the Trentino-Alto Adige region in the Rendena Valley between the Adamello-Presanella Alps and the Brenta Group ranges of the Easter Alps at an altitude between 852 and 2,504 m with a difference of 1,652 m. It is one of the nearest ski resorts to the city of Trento. The main feature of Madonna di Campiglio ski resort is that Brenta belongs to the Dolomites. So you are skiing at a UNESCO site, which also makes up half of the eponymous Adamello-Brenta Nature Park and Geopark. The resort has more than 150 km of slopes and more than 50 ski lifts in total. Being also part of the larger Skirama Dolomiti ski area together with Pontedilegno-Tonale and several other connected resorts and a single ski pass it is the third-largest area for skiing in northern Italy with more than 380 km of slopes after Dolomiti Superski and Via Lattea. The resort is best suitable for intermediate and easy skiing — most of its slopes are red and blue. However, for advanced skiers, the resort has more than 30 km of black slopes. The most common type of ski lift is a chairlift. The Madonna di Campiglio season is from mid-December to mid-April in general.
