Artesina (Mondolè Ski) is one of more than 180 ski resorts in Italy. It is located in the Cuneo province of the Piedmont region of the Italian region in the Ligurian Alps range of the Western Alps at an altitude between 807 and 2,085 m with a difference of 1,278 m. It is the nearest ski resort to the city of Cuneo but the much larger Genoa is just a bit further away. The main features of Artesina (Mondolè Ski) ski resort in addition to more than 100 km of slopes and more than 25 ski lifts in total (8th in the top 10 by size in Italy) are "high-level snowparks, night skiing facilities, and a wide selection of freeride routes, exceeding 1,200 m without interruption, when snow conditions permit". The resort is best suitable for easy and intermediate skiing — most of its slopes are blue and red. For advanced skiers, the resort has just about 10 km of black slopes. The most common type of ski lift is a chairlift. The Artesina (Mondolè Ski) season is from early December to mid-April in general.
