At an elevation of 2,436 m (7,992 ft.), and with a prominence of 1,346 m (4,416 ft.), Monte Binga is a mountain that is part of the Bvumba Mountains and is then also the highest mountain in Mozambique. Although, since this mountain is on the border between Mozambique and Zimbabwe, Monte Binga is also the second highest mountain in Zimbabwe.

The mountain has a unique color and desolate rocky appearance. This is because the mountain is composed of precambrian quartzile.
