Vallnord (Pal Arinsal) is the second-largest of three ski resorts in Andorra, a tiny state in Europe, which is located between Spain and France in the south of the Pyrenees. The resort’s altitude is between 1,550 and 2,537 m with a difference of 987 m. It is the nearest ski resort to La Massana village, where you can take a ski lift to the slopes. The two other villages of the resort are in its name — Pal and Arinsal, the latter of which is also connected by a ski lift to the slopes. The main feature of Vallnord (Pal Arinsal) ski resort is that it is much less known and therefore less touristy than the Andorra's (and all the Pyrenees) largest ski resort Grandvalira. Therefore it is its main alternative, not to mention the even more popular French and Spanish ones. However, it still has more than 60 km of slopes and more than 30 ski lifts in total. The resort is best suitable for easy and intermediate skiing — most of its slopes are blue and red in about equal proportions. For advanced skiers, there are less than 10 km of black slopes. The most common types of ski lifts are a chairlift and a T-bar. The Vallnord (Pal Arinsal) season is from early December to mid-April in general.
