Glenshee is one of 5 real ski resorts in the UK, all of which are located in Scotland in the Grampian Mountains, the main central range of the region. The resorts' altitude is between 650 and 900 m with a difference of 350 m. It is one of the most popular areas for skiing near Edinburgh and Glasgow. The main feature of Glenshee ski resort is that it is the biggest of all the resorts in the UK with more than 40 km of slopes and more than 20 ski lifts in total. The resort is best suitable for easy skiers — most of its slopes are blue. For intermediate and advanced skiing, it has about 15 km of blue and black slopes combined. The most common type of ski lift is a chairlift. The Glenshee season is from mid-December to mid-April in general.
