At an elevation of 3,260 m (10,696 ft.), and with an unknown prominence, Mom Peak is situated nine kilometers south east from Mount Petlock, in the Otway Massif, Antarctica.
Mom Peak is so named to honor the actions of Shirley Anderson, also known as “Antarctica Mom,” because of her morale-boosting communications with US personnel spending winters in Antarctica in the 1960’s.
