Corcovado National Park (Chile) is one of the 42 national parks of Chile, a country in South America, located in the Los Lagos Region. It should not be confused with the park of the same name in Costa Rica in Central America. The main features of the park are two active volcanoes, Volcán Corcovado (2,300 m / 7,546 ft), its highest and the most prominent mountain that gave it its name, and Volcán Yanteles (2,087 m / 6,847 ft). The park is also designed to protect the Valdivian temperate rainforest and the Alpine lakes and rivers. In total there are 26 named mountains in Corcovado National Park (Chile).
