Arenal Volcano National Park

Arenal Volcano National Park (Parque Nacional Volcán Arenal) is one of the 30 national parks of Costa Rica, a country in Central America, located in the north of its territory. The main feature of the park is the namesake active Volcán Arenal (1,672 m / 5,485 ft), its highest and most prominent mountain. The park is also famous as an area with many natural hot springs and its unique flora and fauna, including jaguars and tree frogs among others. In total there are 2 named mountains in Arenal Volcano National Park, the second is also volcano, Cerro Chato (1,158 m / 3,799 ft).
