Kilimanjaro is one of 31 regions of Tanzania in East Africa, which is located on the border with Kenya. The main feature of the region is the eponymous mountain Kilimanjaro, the highest in Africa, which makes it also one of the World's Seven Summits along with Everest and other highest peaks of all continents. It is also a national park with the same name. In total there are 107 named mountains in Kilimanjaro. The highest and the most prominent is Kilimanjaro—Uhuru Peak (5,895 m / 19,340 ft) of the Kilimanjaro—Kibo (5,785 m / 18,979 ft), one of the three dormant volcanic cones of the mountain.
